Crypto Trading Simulator Prediction Mini-Game Guide

Play the range-pick mini-game for tension—without letting it loot your bill floor.

Prediction Mini-Game

A fast side loop

In November 2025 the developer announced a turn-based price range prediction mini-game inside Crypto Trading Simulator. Each round shows horizontal price-range rows. You get a short selection window to pick a range before the price line moves. If price touches your range, you win the round; if not, you lose.

The feature was described as fast, readable, and still being refined. Treat this guide as a discipline layer around a volatile side activity—not as a replacement for spot craft in How to Trade.

How a round works

  1. Ranges appear as horizontal bands
  2. You choose one during the selection window
  3. Price advances
  4. Touch = win; miss = lose

Because rounds are quick, tilt spreads quickly. Decide your stake rules before the first round, not after a loss streak.

Bankroll rules for the mini-game

  • Cap mini-game spend as a tiny percent of surplus above the Bill Budget Planner floor
  • Stop after two consecutive losses—return to charts or office tasks
  • Never fund prediction rounds with money earmarked for power, rent, or mining cooling (How to Mine)
  • Never “revenge predict” during a social-feed crisis (Social Feed and Events)

If the mini-game is wrecking focus, close it and run a normal trading session template instead.

Skill transfer (limited but real)

Range picking trains you to think in zones, which helps support/resistance literacy in How to Read Charts. It does not teach full order management, fees, or whale stop hunts. Keep expectations honest.

When to play it

Good times: After bills are reserved, during quiet accumulation, as a five-minute palate cleanser.

Bad times: When margin is open, when mining heat is critical, when a Daily Target quest needs clean focus, or when you are already tilted.

QA mindset

Because the developer marked the feature as refining, note odd payouts or UI hangs and report them with steps through the Community Hub. Mention whether you were mid-trade or mid-quest—context matters after the 0.1.1 quest save fixes.

Enjoy the tension. Leave when the fun turns into a second rent payment.

Sample stake policy

Write a one-line policy before you open the mini-game: “I risk at most X cash tonight, stop after two losses, never touch bill money.” Put X below the surplus shown by the Bill Budget Planner. If you cannot name X, you are not ready to play rounds.

Tilt exit script

When you feel the urge to double after a miss, close the mini-game, stand up, and run a spot checklist from How to Trade instead. The market will still be there. Your rent due date will also still be there.

Pairing with quests

If a Daily Target needs clean focus, finish the quest first—Patch 0.1.1 fixed several quest save issues, but attention splits still create unforced errors. Use Controls and Settings to hide quest cards while trading, then reopen them; do not juggle prediction rounds mid-quest claim.

Closing habit

Log three numbers after any mini-game block: cash spent, rounds won, whether bills remained covered. If bills were threatened, ban the mini-game for forty-eight hours. Side content should spice Early Access, not rewrite your solvency story.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do you win a prediction round?

Select a price range before the round; you win if the advancing price line touches that range.

Is the mini-game finished?

Official notes said the core loop works while refinement continues. Expect polish over Early Access.

Can the mini-game replace trading?

No. It is a side activity. Solvency still comes from bills discipline and planned spot or carefully unlocked margin trades.
